Returning to school was pretty easy, in fact there wasn’t much of a transition. Class and life continued fairly normally. The highlight of the week was the trip Jesse and I had planned for Saturday. We had decided to go to QingCheng mountain (青城山). So we got up at 6 am and headed out to the bus station. The ride out to the mountain was actually the longest part of the journey. It took about an hour and half, once there we transferred to the small bus. There is an option to go to the front or the back of the mountain, we went to the back side of the mountain. At the top of the mountain there is a temple. The way up is only stairs. It was really intense. The scenery was beautiful. The mountain is completely covered in in clouds. Jesse and I started at 11am and we hiked until 4pm. Along the way up were statues of Daoist leaders, it was really freaking cool. We made it all the way to the top to the Sky Temple, it was beautiful. After we finished with top almost immediately it started snowing. It was awesome, we were in this gondola, riding through the clouds while it was snowing. The stairs kicked my butt, but it was still fun. We probably went about 5-6 miles climbing up. We made it back off the mountain just in time to catch the last bus. It was such a fun trip. The pictures don’t really do it justice, but we had a great time. It looks foggy but we were actually in the clouds, everything was wet and the air was easy to breathe. The trip home was stress free, which was so nice. Showered and drinking tea, it was a wonderful day. (This pictures are in reverse order, start from the bottom and go to the top)
