I sat and did homework for a good couple of hours while Johnny and I chatted with our coffee. It’s funny because everyone learns a language differently. For me I love the writing and reading aspect of languages while Johnny is much more focused on speaking and hearing. We got into a few good discussions about knowing a language and using a language. I hope to do both but that is a difficult thing to do. It takes years and years of practice. After a few hours of enjoying ourselves we decided to head to Main Station, Johnny needed to run a few errands there. When we poked out heads out of Main Station the sun was setting quite beautifully so I snapped a picture.
We ended up on a street that is nicknamed “camera street”. It’s a set of about ten shops all specializing in camera goods. Johnny was in need of a cheap tripod for his two week journey around the island. He got a small little travel tripod for about 15 dollars US. After that he took me to a little noodle shop. The food was absolutely superb. I was really pleased about it, every once in a while you get some 牛肉麵 (beef noodles) that just make your day. We walked back after that and went home. I sat around and goofed off on the computer before heading out and grabbing some after dinner watermelon. Eating fruit after dinner has become a delight for me and a habit I hope I will keep up in the States. I’m in the final stretch for Taiwan and loving every minute of it. Tomorrow is a new day, and it’s gonna be awesome!
