Day 51 -- July 14

Sunday was a bit more of a relax day. I got up a messed around on the internet for a while. It was a super nice day so I went and read a book out on the patio. Originally I was going to go with Jillian to Wu Fenpu but I had double booked events, I’ll go with her next week. Stevie had called me and his brother had flown in to Taiwan. He asked me if I would take them to Xiang Shan or Elephant mountain. So At about five I walked over to the MRT met up with them and we were on our way. We left later in hopes that we would see the city lit up. Also as we got away from the 101 the damage of the Typhoon became more evident. We even found a car that had a branch fall on it, totally smashing the windshield.
On the path a tree in our way

The climb up the mountain was significantly shorter but I think it had to do with the fact I recognized areas and knew where the top was. It different climbing at night, I for some reason was sweating like mad. I think it’s because the weather was doing it’s weird half rain thing, so the humidity was way higher. The view was awesome at night, I tried to take as many pictures as I could but my camera was acting up. Oh well it was a really nice little jaunt and an excellent form of exercise. Steps for twenty minutes straight up a mountain will do a number to you. After getting down off the mountain we headed back. I swung into the Gong Guan night market for some dinner. I also splurged a bit and got some milk. It’s a little pricey when bought in the small quantities but I really don’t need a pint of the stuff running around. It was good all the same. I came back a finished some homework I had left over. Laundry is done which is good I was getting very close to not having any undergarments. Such is student life! Another week for all of us, let’s see what we learn.
