Day 13 -- June 6

I totally spaced on turning my alarm. I still woke up at 7:15 which is good. I did my morning routine and chatted with a few people on Facebook. My mother was on for a while but she could figure out the Facebook. Someone needs to help her, please? I am getting breakfast most days from the Family mart which is fine for me. I headed of to pronunciation class around 10-ish. The class is getting progressively easier which means I am hopefully getting better. I met a new set of Japanese friends, I am going to be eating lunch with  them tomorrow. I am excited. So the morning went well and it was sunny for a change.

I keep meeting people who are really surprised that I know a little Japanese. I’ve made a bunch of Japanese friends and a few English friends this way. I suppose it’s good that I am making friends, but sometimes people get very confused about it. It’s fine a really good conversation starter I suppose.

Lunch, I actually ran back to Omelet, the food is really good, cheap and filling so I grabbed it. I met up with my classmates and we studied for the quiz. We played with flash cards during the class as a form of review. I managed to snap a picture during break. The flash cards are bo po mo fo which is similar to hiragana, it that each symbols represents a sound. It started raining really hard and I was worried because I had left Sunny back at the dorm. Thankfully I had managed to wait out the storm, trust me, running in Taiwan rain is a terrible idea. You will get miserably wet, quickly.

I was originally going to go for a run after class but the weather was iffy. Also my foot is hurting still so I am going to rest it. I ran into Alex and ChloĆ«, who were off to dinner. I tagged along, we ended up at a little Okinawan joint. It was really quaint and the food was very good. I had some Curry, absolutely delicious. We were going to go to the hotspring, but I had homework to do. Alex wasn’t exactly sure were they were going and I didn’t want to be out too late. It’s ok I still have weekends, I’ll ask if they want to go again on Saturday or Sunday. It’s a bit of a bummer to have to cut nights short, but I came here to study and learn Mandarin. Tomorrow is Friday and I will have stories to tell, I am going out with my roommate to KTV, better known as Karaoke. See you tomorrow!
