Day 9 -- June 2

Well today I was originally going to go with Mikey to the Tiger temple but he was tired from his trip and cancelled. So I had absolutely nothing to do today. I wandered out of my room around noon to find food. I stopped in at my favorite bakery and picked up some bread and a small sandwich. I was heading back when I ran into Claire and Chloë. They were headed for lunch and they invited me along.

Claire wanted some Indian food, so we found this place on a side street. It was expensive but I got the vegetarian dish which was actually really good. Everyone liked it the best. We had fun talking about the differences between countries when out of nowhere we had a small earthquake. It lasted a good 10 seconds and totally surprised Chloë. She had never experienced one before, being from England. I explained that while they weren’t common in Nevada, they certainly had happened to me before. We laughed and finished out food. I commented on how different the food tasted from what I was used in America. Now I am wondering, which food is more authentic?

At some point Alex, Daniel and Mikey had appeared for lunch and I started talking about my trip to Houshanpi. Chloë and Alex wanted to go and since I had nothing planned I offered to take them. So we hopped onto the MRT and away we went. With Yen we shopped rather quickly with Alex and Chloë shopping was much slower. I wasn’t really planning on buying anything to I had fun just taking pictures of strange English words on shirts. And believe me there were plenty.

We ended up hungry so we went and found a small little dumpling spot. I know I say this about all the food but dang the food was good. We watched the lady cook it before our eyes. It started spitting rain while we were sitting so we stayed a little bit longer hoping to wait it out. I really need to invest in an umbrella seeing as I forgot mine...

We ended being in the shopping district for about 5 hours just wandering the shops. Alex ended up with a load of shirts and Chloë also bought a shirt. I still haven’t invested in clothing yet. Trying to keep track of my finances and also the shops I was really interested in they just passed by so it’s all good. We head back and my feet are absolutely exhausted. I still have to get laundry done and shower. Tomorrow is the first day of classes. I am a little nervous but I am ready to tackle it head on! Alright time to go take care of daily living things...

You think it is just a mirror?
It's a trap!!
Is that a wall?

Nope!!
